Our meeting on April 21st will take place in
Abbeville, SC at the Bundy-Barksdale-McGowan House at 305 North Main Street.
If you have not visited the house before please plan on attending and
bring your spouse, girlfriend or other family members to enjoy a historic
tour of his home.
Our guest speaker will be past Division and McGowan Camp Commander Mr. Robert Roper who will be talking about General McGowan and his family after the War of Northern Aggression. A local BBQ restaurant will be selling plate dinners at the meeting, also the Abbeville camp will be attending along with the Abbeville Historic Society, who are owners of the house. Our meeting will begin at 6:30 with no camp business being conducted this month. After the tour and talk we will be going to Long Cane Cemetery to lay a wreath at his grave with assistance from the UDC and color guard from the Greenville camp. |

Remember 23rd April is
special convention in Concord, NC at 10:00 AM. This meeting is to bring
proposed amendments to our national constitution to prevent another problem
that surfaced earlier in the year by the rogue past CIC's.

| Each year the Moses T. Fowler
Camp #1721, Fountain Inn holds the Fairview Living History event. This year
the event will be on April 22, 23, 24, 2005, at Fairview Presbyterian Church,
Fountain Inn, S. C. Located just off Fairview Road (Hwy 418 West) on
Fairview Church Road, look for the signs. |
| Clemson University will observe
Confederate Memorial Day with a short ceremony on May 10th at 10:00am on the
Military Heritage Plaza in front of Tillman Hall near Bowman field. |
