THE BURIAL of the final
crew of the H. L. Hunley is scheduled for Saturday, April 17th, 2004 starting
at 10:00 a.m. at White Point Gardens, followed by a funeral procession and
ending at Magnolia Cemetery for the burial
The Funeral Procession
The cut off date for registration for the procession is April 1st, 2004.
No applications will be taken after that time. Your registration application
must be postmarked no later than 4/1/04.
Everyone participating in the funeral procession
must be registered and have an original signature on the "liability" clause
form.

The funeral procession will be a marching one and the Army will proceed "under
arms".
Flags
Only flags designated by the Hunley Commission will be allowed in the period
funeral procession. You must have authorization. All flags except those designated
must be furled.
Recommendation for Parking
Park at the Magnolia Cemetery early in the morning Saturday 17th. Shuttle
buses will run continuously between the Cemetery and the Battery. Get
there early!
Dress
Period clothing is fine, civilian or military. Contemporary: Coat and
tie suggested for the gentleman, nice dress for the ladies. Please,
no T-Shirts or jeans. This is a funeral. Let us be respectful.
