* shadows attack the axe

* Gideon dosen't feel a thing but morphs his form into a spear and stabs the shadow

* VerDir draws his dagger and runs towards the ghoul, forgetting that there is a symbol of Lithna inscribed on the dagger

* Nierad punches the ghoul on its face

* Ghoul parries the knives

* VerDir rains his katana and dagger onto the Ghoul, watching the blows get parried

* Nierad begins to punch much quicker now, though missing many of the attacks on the ghoul

* Ghoul streams in terror as the group attacks

* Nierad jumps back

* VerDir does not intend to kill it

* Auroch drops Gideon and covers his ears again

<Auroch> Ahh!

* Ghoul makes his way towards Nierad and begins to swing

* Auroch picks Gideon up again

* Kiran continues the attack and notices the symbol on Ver'Dir's dagger, the same one Baal had.

* Nierad moves back

* Auroch attacks the Ghoul again

* VerDir purposefully fumbles, then sheaths the dagger quickly

* Nierad begins to block the attacks

* Kezia stays low, circling quietly on the outskirts of the melee unnoticed, looking for an opening.

* Ghoul turns as he feels a pain in his back and then stairs deeply into the dwarf's eyes

<Nierad> get it off me dwarf!

<Auroch> I'm tryin!

* VerDir draws his repeater crossbow and points it at the ghoul

<Nierad> tackle it!

* Ghoul slowly raises a claw

* Auroch is transfixed

* Auroch wants to run

* Kiran runs towards Auroch, seeing him being transfixed and tackles the dwarf

* Ghoul quickly rushes his claw towards the head of the dwarf

* Kezia pounces like a leopard, a long, bone-bladed knife streaking a potentially fatal arc at the ghoul's exposed back.

* Auroch hacks at the Ghoul as it's lying on the ground

* Gideon morphs into a spear and impales the Ghoul throug the chest

* Kezia pulls the blade out with a sickening crack.

* Nierad pulls the ghoul out of Gideon

* Auroch pulls Gideon out of the Ghoul

<Kellindel> Ah then there is a third?

* Kellindel growls at the Saris

* Kiran realizes her mistake

<Kiran> My mistake.

* Kezia looks over eagerly at the dagger, until he disdainfully stick his tongue out at the axe.

<Auroch> Liar! How did he know ye wanted a piwafi?

* Zeke isnt impressed

<Nierad> well what are we to do now?

* Nierad continues playing his song

* Kellindel approachs the Saris

* Auroch walks up to support Zeke

* Zeke stares at Kellindel

<Kellindel> You are lucky you have friend close by cat, or I would gut you here and now

* Zeke still isnt impressed

<Gideon> Is that good enough for you Kiran?  He's making death threats.  Can we kill him now?

* Nierad changes his song, is now playing a slow, but dramatic song

* Auroch whispers to Zeke 'is he really human do ye think?'

* Kellindel removes a dagger from his belt and puts it close to the throat of Zeke

<Kiran> Hey!!

<Kezia> Ooh please...let's kill him.  Maybe then we can go somewhere...or eat something.

<Kiran> Stop that!

* Zeke slashses at Kellindel with his claw

<Kellindel> Do not tempt me Saris

* Nierad opens his eyes

* Auroch puts Gideon up to Kellindel's back

* Kezia rubs his rumbling tummy nurturingly.

* Kiran moves over to Zeke and Kellindels

<Auroch> Give me an excuse freak!

* Zeke kicks Kell back

* Nierad uses the strings to shoot out and pull the Dagger out of Kell's hands

* Kellindel falls down as the claw of the saris rip the flesh around his neck

* Kiran moves in between them.

<Kiran> Stop!!!!

* Zeke growls

<Auroch> Too late!

<Zeke> doesnt matter Auroch

<Zeke> human or not, he's scum

* Kellindel begins to shake violently

* Kiran shoves Zeke back

* Kiran bends down to Kellindel

* Zeke shoves Kiran aside

* Nierad recalls the string

* Kezia absentmindedly tosses a throwing knife end over end up and down, waiting for a determined attack.

* Zeke strangles Kellindel

* Nierad examines the dagger

* Kellindel begins to chuckle evily and begins to stand

* Zeke beats Kellindel in the face as he holds his neck

<Kiran> Erm, Zeke... I think you blew it.

<Nierad> what are you?

* Kellindel watchs as the flesh falls from his bones

* Auroch stands by watching

*** Kellindel is now known as Liche

<Auroch> ahhh!

* Zeke jumps back

* Kiran jumps back in shock

<Kezia> Wonderful, and me without my holy water.

<Liche> I told you Saris to not tempt me

* Nierad throws the dagger, but misses the liche

* Zeke still isnt quite impressed

* Auroch runs at the Liche, axe held high

<Nierad> how many undead are there?

* Liche grabs Zeke by the throat and lifts him off of the ground

* Kezia volleys two daggers of his own through the air.

* Zeke gags

<Gideon> I really wish I could change into some nice angelic holy metal right now

* Auroch swings Gideon sideways towards the Liche

* Kiran begins attacking the Liche

<Auroch> I wish ye could too!

* Liche holds up a hand and engulfs the groupd in teh shadows, making them blind

* Nierad makes the strings shoot out, they wrap themselves around Zeke and pull Zeke away

<Auroch> Ahh!

<Kezia> Oh shadows..cute.

<Auroch> Gideon, can ye see?

<Nierad> I can't see...

* Kiran cries out

<Auroch> Gideon?

<Gideon> Yep.  He's right in front of you.

* Liche begins to tear at the flesh of Zeke

<Auroch> Right in front?

* Nierad recalls the strings, making Zeke fall down

* Kezia closes his eyes and reaches out with his mind, using one of the only two psionic techniques he knows, Blindsight.

<Gideon> Not anymore

* Zeke screams

* Auroch swings the axe hard

<Gideon> To the left

<Auroch> argh!

* Auroch swings to the left

<Nierad> what?!

* Zeke claws desparately at the lich

<Kiran> Zeke!!

* Liche laughs evily as the blood of the Saris begin to fly through the air

<Auroch> was i close?

* Kezia whips a dagger towards the wrist of the lich supporting Zeke.

<Gideon> More to your left Auroch!

* Zeke screams

* Nierad closes his eyes trying to focus

* Auroch moves to his left

<Auroch> now?

* Zeke tries to scramble away

<Gideon> Hitem hard!

* Kiran feels out for the Liche and begins attacking it

* Auroch hits the liche hard on its side

* Liche pushes the female away

<Auroch> Arghh!

* Nierad begins playing a song, the sound moves fluidly through the air

* Kiran growls and makes her way back to the liche

<Auroch> again?

* Liche stumbles a bit, and then removes the axe from his side

* Auroch holds onto the axe

* Auroch is held in the air by the liche

* Kezia sits down, assuming his daggers apparently missed.

* Nierad enchants the song with magic, the song gives out a feeling of sadness, hopelessness

* Liche tigthens the hold on Zeke, sucking the life out of his body

<Auroch> Gideon! Transform!

* Zeke gags

* Kiran hacks at the liches arm holding zeke

* Zeke kicks the lich

* Nierad stops playing

* Gideon melts his form from under the lich's grasp

* Zeke stumbles away from the undead

* Liche stumbles a bit

* Nierad thinks to himself "Undead.... it must have already lost hope"

* Gideon reforms as an axe

* Zeke curls up on the ground

<Auroch> Now what?

* Kezia scratches the log he's sitting on absentmindedly.

* Liche begins to form a small orb of fire in his hand and throws ittowards Zeke

<Gideon> Three steps forward, turn right, slash hard!

* Nierad opens his eyes

* Zeke rolls out of the way just in time

* Auroch follows Gideons directions, and hits the liche in the head

* Nierad catches a glimpse of light

* Liche is stunned

* Nierad runs toward the liche

<Auroch> what now?

<Gideon> Keep swinging!

* Liche turns towards the dwarf

<Gideon> He's stunned

* Auroch swings again

* Nierad begins punching and kicking very quickly

* Auroch swings again

* Auroch hits the liche again

* Liche stumbles back after each hit

* Auroch hits the liche again

* Nierad screams a low shout, and moves back

<Gideon> Watch out for Nierad he's too your right

* Auroch hits the liche again

<Nierad> you slashed my bracer dwarf!

<Auroch> ooh!

<Gideon> Too late

<Auroch> Sorry!

* Liche regains his footing and makes his way towards the dwarf with furry

<Auroch> Where now?

<Gideon> Right in front!

<Gideon> Chargeing

* Auroch drops down

* Auroch rolls to the side

* Kezia blindly tosses a knife over his shoulder somewhere into the whirling melee behind him.

* Auroch is hit by a knife

<Auroch> Ah!

* Liche removes a small staff and aims for the head of the dwarf

<Nierad> where is Kiran?!

<Gideon> Incoming!

* Auroch rolls

* Auroch still has the knife in his side

* Nierad begins to play a song, small wisps of light begin to appear

* Kiran moves to attack the liche again

* Liche groans in fustrastion as his staff hits the earth

<Auroch> now?

* Liche looks around

* Liche makes his way into the earthly grave and dissappears

* Zeke coughs

<Auroch> Where is he?

<Auroch> Gideon?

<Gideon> He disappeared

<Auroch> What?

* Kezia points to the ground.

<Gideon> Into the earth

* Zeke curls up next to a tree

* Auroch drops to the ground, frustrated and bleeding

<Gideon> Can't you see on your own yet?  The bard's harp is clearing the shadows

* Auroch can see a bit now

* Nierad begins to dance

* Zeke has a gaping wound in his chest and a few wounds in his neck

* Zeke spits blood

<Auroch> Is... Zeke okay?

<Auroch> Kiran? you?

* Zeke hacks

<Kiran> Heal Zeke Nierad

* Zeke bleed profusely

<Kiran> I am fine, confused, but fine.

<Gideon> Does that really need to be asked stumpy?

* Nierad stops playing his song

<Auroch> I... don't know

<Gideon> The bit about zeke being ok that is

<Nierad> look, the wisps are disappearing

* Nierad runs to Zeke

* Auroch can see almost completely

<Gideon> Someoen better stop that bleeding.

* Kezia disappears into the treeline for a few seconds, reappearing having collected all but one of his thrown blades.

* Zeke growls painfully

* Nierad begins to play a soothing song

* Zeke mutters about the lousy humans selling his fur after he dies

* Kiran begins to bandage Zeke
