Dedicated to educating humans about the horrors of
puppy mills.
Simon is a purebred golden retriever.  From the beginning Simon never sat quite right, but the vet always said it was just growing pains.  At 8 months old we took him in for x-rays and he was diagnosed with severe hip dysplacia in both hips.  Without an operation he would probably be lame in both legs within 2 years.  We chose to have the operations.  The doctor gave him a 95% chance of a full and complete recovery.  Because we were told that Simon's ancestry had been tested and passed the tests associated with hip dysplacia, we began to do some research on his true origins.  What we have found is unbelieveable.  Aside from discovering that Simon may have actually come from a puppy mill and not a reputable breeder, we also discovered some of the terrible things that do go on in the world of dog breeding, especially in so-called puppy mills.  This site is dedicated to Simon for his strength and his unending spirit but also to educating people about the deplorable conditions that exist for so many animals in this country.

have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high,
