April 15 & 16:... Absolutely schifo weather. Other than finishing my last paper and sketchbook drawing, doing more useless artwork, including page 6 of my comic, and vaguely acknowledging that the 16th was my brother's birthday -- I hope the postcard got there on time -- these couple of days have been fairly unambitious and draining.

April 17:... Still raining. Gwen went out to take a picture of the Hotel Maitani doors. I went with her and we had a nice chat about Antonio.
Later, she finished her papers and turned them in, so we went out for Pizzeria Charlie's to celebrate. I got a Romana pizza and a glass of Barberani Orvieto red. VERY nice. Very soft and smooth -- hardly tastes like alcohol. We concluded with a tartufo nero -- mmmm-- and returned home. I need sleep.

April 18:... Met new prof at breakfast today. Sister Susanna Caroselli. Very nice. She'd make a fabulous grandmother if she weren't a nun.
I accomplished nothing more than an ambitious drawing today -- one which I probably shouldn't have done as it made me a bit depressed later. At 7, everyone headed to Skillen's place for a pizza dinner. That was all right, but kinda dull. After, I came back, moped around a bit, and went to bed. New class starts tomorrow.

April 19 :... Started a new class today. I love the prof, but I have doubts about the subject matter so far. Translated the Pizzeria Charlie's menu, except for 'rucola', 'pachino' , 'scamorza' and 'speck'. Gah. What the HECK is "SPECK"?
Lousy drawing day. STILL raining. Got some internet time today though. Got to chat with Kida too. Freaked her out, methinks. Bedtime. I hope it stops raining tomorrow.

April 20:... More class. Kinda dull. After pranzo, I caught up on more online journaling. I wonder if anyone actually reads it. Maybe I should update the main page's "last updated" date.
After, Gwen and I tried to do down to the scalo to find a video, but after going the wrong way for probably 20 minutes, we back-tracked, descended a steep hill on a barely-street, found the place, had no money, had trouble finding an ATM, found one, it was out of order, and discovered that the video store didn't have the movie anyway. Dejected, we took the funicular home and consoled ourselves with gelato. Later, we borrowed 'The Princess Bride' from Audra for an Italian presentation , translated a piece of a scene, and crashed at 2 am.

April 21:...
Didn't have to do the presentation today. Could have, but didn't.Restless today. Went onto the terraza after class. Too hot. Visited Gwen, then changed clothes and went out again, this time with cookies and Nutella. Later, went out for a walk. Got a VERY good wine (tasted it first) and Anna's souvenir. Even doubting Will liked my wine. Chatted with mom on the phone for about an hour and a half -- some good news. Must ask Skillen about weeding work.
