April 1:... Happy April 1st! Or something. Gwen and I didn't do much today. Grocery shopped. I took a shower and finished a paper. Also drew another Venus. Grooving to 'Life in the Tropics' right now. Forgot how much I liked the Rippingtons.

April 2:... Woke up late today and missed breakfast. Was annoyed. My roommate left at 6:30 this morning and I don't know when she's coming back. To make up for missing breakfast, I had a Nutella/peanut butter/fragole (strawberries) sandwich. Good stuff. After that, Gwen and I went out to find the ticket office for the Etruscan tombs. After walking all the way to the Duomo, we were told that it was the other way, so we headed back. However, playing in the street were a couple of musicians. One had an accordian, and one had a saxophone. And oh what a pretty sound. I broke a 5 euro for change to give to them at a candy shop. (Note to self: nice old candy shop guy has tasty chewy raspberry candies.) Then I tipped the musicians, bought some grapes, and moved on.
When Gwen and I found the place, we were told (AFTER buying our tickets...) that we had to take the tour right then because the end of the route was the way out. It was half an hour until pranzo, so we weren't sure we'd have time. But it was all good, no worries. Short tour. Inexpensive. Pranzo was small, just Skillen, Loren Baker, Pamela, Gwen and me. The whole spread was a little weird but I ate what I could.
During siesta, I got my internet time for the week. I got up to March 2nd on my website, and took a nice nap on the terraza later. After, Gwen and I showed Loren (visiting artist guy) around the town and ate at Pizzeria Charlie's. I got a gelato after, and then went home where I proceeded to do 30 pages of my Italian homework before going to bed. Must do laundry tomorrow. I hope it's still sunny.

April 3:... Took Gwen to the market today. She found a nifty coat and I found a shirt. As I hadn't enough money, she paid for me, and I'll owe her 10 euro later. It's a nifty shirt though, bright red, stretchy ribbed, and criss crossed. Didn't do much else though. In need of a name for a new character. My first male character created independently of a female main character. He's a satyr who's an aspiring 'artist-musician-singer-poet-playwrite-actor' wannabe. Dark burgundy red hair. Cute.
Later, movie night. We watched "Gone in 60 Seconds", which was basically "Ocean's 11" except in California, with cars. Not bad though.

April 4:... Interesting day. At the very start, it was so foggy that you could look at the sun as if it were the moon. And then later, it brightened up until almost everyone was sunning themselves outside. I love that terraza. Did my laundry today. Of course this was prompted by starting a certain monthly occurrence... *grumble* oh well, so far it hasn't been bad...
There was a concert at the Duomo today, as it was Palm Sunday, and the nuns all went, which meant everyone got more or less kicked out of the convent for a few hours. Most of the students went, but Gwen and I walked around for a while. Gwen got her hedgehog-papered egg, and I got a smaller one. Gwen got her necklaces, and we both had gelato. We stopped by Alberto's shop -- he's very nice. Speaks quite a bit of English, and listens to Loreena McKennnit.
Later, after helping Peter carry pizzas back for dinner, I frightened both Jessica and Audra with "Star Trekkin" and jammed to my CDs before bed. PS: My chocolate egg had an eraser in it. Weird.

April 5:... Accomplished not a whole lot... except for (mostly) thwarting the crisis of the day... ANTS! I was bringing in my laundry from outside and my favorite pair of pants had ants on them. EW! So I freaked out a bit and made sure to inspect every freakin' inch of them (and all my other pants and shirts...) before bringing 'em in. Other than that, homework is going slow. Must finish papers, draw the rest of Bacchus, and think of a name for my new guy.

April 6:... Today was highly uneventful up until about 7 pm. Breakfast and class as usual. I did some grocery shopping (faccio la spesa) and got some more wine.
Then, at seven, Loren Baker, the artist in residence, gave an hour-long slide show of his work, and immediately after it, the phone rang. It was my mom. Wow, I got a phone call! Yay.
Spent a while finishing a paper, then making my bro his birthday postcard before bed. Note to self: Tara is borrowing wine book.

April 7:... Windy today. Well, today in Skillen's class, I started on page 5 of my comic. It's going well -- a few bugs to work out. And in Italian class, we learned about clothing.
At seven, we had a 'Stations of the Cross' service with the nuns, immediately after which I mailed my bro's (and a few other) postcard(s), then took a shower. I worked more on my comic, ate dinner, and just dinked around before bed. I think my 'evil time' is almost over.
