the Senior Captains on the list at the time, both listed as “Waiting Orders”.

 

Note: The pay for Revenue Cutter Service officers as of this date was:

 

Captains : 50 Dollars/Month

1st Lts. : 35 Dollars/Month

2nd Lts. : 30 Dollars/Month

3rd Lts. : 25 Dollars/Month

 

All were entitled to “four army rations per diem” in addition to pay.
