March is a wonderful month in room 109. As we prepare for spring our learning continues to grow. Upon entering our classroom you will see the major areas of study this month include Books, St. Patrick's Day, and Spiders. Ms. Steffens lead the class in an exciting fraction lesson which turned our fraction bars into spider legs in celebration of Save a Spider Day-March 14. We celebrate Dr. Suess' Birthday by reading his books and doing projects centered around reading for a full day. We are studing Luck and how it can change peoples lives in honor of St. Patrick's Day-March 17. We have also gone further with our poetry writing this month and written limericks. March is also National Women's History Month, soon we are going to learn about women who have inspired our country. Art is a very important part of education and this month we can celebrate Young Art Month. |
