Once Upon a Time there was a Hobbit. The Hobbit's name was Meriadoc Brandybuck, commonly known as Merry. Merry was a merry Hobbit. He was living a peaceful life in the Shire with his friends, Frodo, Pippin, and Sam. He was usually with Pip, but this one particular day he wasn't with him. Apparently Pippin was caught taking someones crops from their garden...he was being punished. Merry decided to try and get Pip out of trouble, but he couldn't think of how. Merry went to a stream that he went to often alone to think and ponder of just about anything. He was picking flowers and turning then into crowns and garlens and such stuff. Suddenly he heard a loud scream that sounded like a Ringwrath! Merry thought to himself "It can't be! The ring has been destroyed!" He was right the one ring had been tossed back into the fires of Mordor and destroyed. There was no reason for any such a thing as a Ringwrath to show up anywhere. Merry was a bit scared and very unsure. He had thrown his flowers about and ran off for cover in a bush waiting for anything.

"HELLO!" boomed a voice out of nowhere, "I'm sorry did I frighten you? I really do have to work on my landing."
Merry, scared to death, looked out from his hiding place to see what or who was talking to him. What he saw throught the leaves of the bush was a horse with odd eyes. The horses' eyes were triangular shaped and two shades of lavender.
"Well, aren't you going to come out?" said the strange horse.
"Umm..." said Merry timidly.
"Oh common. Common out i'm not going to bite you...I don't even know who you are...or what for that matter." Pleaded the creature from another land
Merry swallowed hard and came out slowly. When he saw the figure of that horse like thing, Merry could say no word. All the young Hobbit could do was stare and stare is what he did.
"Why are you staring at me?" asked the horse-like thing that was staring back at the Hobbit.
"Why are you staring at me?" repeated the Hobbit still shaking with fright.
The two stood there and stared at eachother for a long time. Each one trying to figure out what to do. Should they run away from eachother? Should they investigate eachother? They didn't know. Finally the horse-like figure said something after that long silence.
"My name is Miowlavu Don Shazi. What's your name?"
"Merry." said the Hobbit in a quiet voice.
"Just Merry? Is that short for something? My friends call me Miow. They tease me and say I was named after the sound a cat makes, but it's all fun and games."
Merry laughed a little and said, "Merry's short for Meriadoc. Meriadoc Brandybuck's my name in full. A Merry fool indeed."
Miow laughed and Merry laughed as well. They talked along while by that stream. They also picked flowers...many flowers. With that, a beautiful friendship bloomed with the flowers.

Miow decided that she liked the Shire. She romed about it's hills and sat by the waters and looked at the odd looking hobbit holes. She still had not changed into the form of a hobbit...didn't plan on it either. Merry didn't want a twin following him about that he would have to explain. To the rest of the inhabitants of the Shire, Miow was a Pegasus with an eye infection. Miow didn't like that very much but Merry just wouldn't allow her to go around looking like him. In his mind it just was not right!
Merry was all about introducing Miow, who changed to the form of a regular horse(when she was tired of being a "sick Pegasus") and didn't speak (very hard for miow to keep HER mouth SHUT...). She met many hobbits. Samwise, Frodo, and Bilbo just to name a few. Alas, they couldn't find Pip. That's who Miow really wanted to meet. After hearing all of the stories that Merry had told her about their little "quests" to get all kinds of food, Miow was very eager to meet him...but...our dear friend Pip was not to be found. Merry was really getting worried and even scared. Miow kept him down to a certain calmness. She was a very calm Mercurasian horse, easy to anger and would turn on you at the snap of a finger, but very calm...
Miow and Merry finally went to go think at Merry's spot. The very same spot that the two had first met. Finally after a long time Merry thought to go find Frodo and talk to him about speaking to Gandalf. So the two friends went to Frodo's home, but he wasn't there. Miow was tired, so Merry went about alone looking for Frodo. Eventually, Miow joined him. They couldn't find him either. Turns out that Frodo was on Venus visiting his Venusian friends. That's what Bilbo said anyway. Miow wondered if Merry would like to go to Venus and retrieve Frodo. Merry wasn't to sure about leaving the Shire and for a DIFFERENT PLANET he certainely WAS NOT going to go!
"Merry, what on Earth are we going to do? Frodo's only on Venus. It's not that far from here. It'll be a quick journey and a faster way to find out where this Gandalf you speak of is and to find Pip." Miow pleaded.
"It would be I guess..." stammered Merry, "but I..I..I..I don't know!"
"There, there Merry, don't fret. I ment not to send you into an emotional...thing." said Miow while thinking to herself if she had said that right or not.
"Lets just go ask around where Gandalf is." Merry finally managed
Miow had gone off to play with a butterfly during the LONNNGGG silence and didn't hear him quite as well as she would have had she paid attention. "Ok, but what's a dalfis?"
"What are u talking about?"
"...Didn't you say were going to ask around where agan dalfis is..or what it was...or somthing?"
"Nooo..." said Merry wondering what strange thoughts had passed through Miow's mind at the time. "We're going to go ask around where we might find Gandalf. Got it?"
"Yeah sure...what's a alfotit?" Miow asked. She was still playing with that butterfly. She was very facinated.
"...MIOW STOP PLAYING WITH THAT BUTTERFLY AND PAY ATTENTION!" Merry roared with all his little hobbit might.
"Well, that's quite a mighty roar ya gots there Merry." Miow said quite promptly. "My loudness is rubbing off on you," She grinned "Now, why are we still standing here? I thought we were going to go look for Gandalf? ...Well? Why are we still here? Lets get moving!" Miow said as she started to march off. Merry was very annoyed. He absolutely hated it when she did that. He thought she did it on purpose. Hmmm...Maybe she was maybe she wasn't. Noone will know except her. He marched off after her, broke out into a cute little "run" and climbed on Miow's back using her tail. They strode off to find Gandalf...
"I do that to Merry most of the time on purpose" Miow said to the reader...being you...Merry couldn't hear that remark though. He was very concentrated on looking very hard for any hobbit that might know where Gandalf was.
