Some months have passed now. Miow and Merry are taking it easy in the Shire, thought they are about to leave. You know how hobbits get about odd happenings that are strange to them. Anyway. Miow is waiting for Merry to finish packing. After many times re reasoning with Merry that he should come off Middle-Earth and live on Mercury, it is finally happening.
Miow got very tired of waititng for Merry to hurry up and pack or finish and she was wondering what was taking him so long. She stormed in to his hobbit hole and proceeded to look for him. While she was walking the halls she stepped on something and nearly cracked it..whatever it was. Suddenly forgetting about Merry and packing and leaving for Mercury she looked at the bright blue thing sticking out of the floor. Further wondering what it was, she dug it out of the ground. It was an egg. Looking at the egg further trying to decide what it was on the inside of the shell and why it was in Merry's home and how it ever got there, she got lost in her questions and decided it would be best to think later when it would hatch. She tucked the pretty egg in her tail pocket and looked for Merry.
Merry was sitting in a corner in some room that was all packed up. He looked rather sad. He didn't want to leave the Shire, but at the same time he did. He was torn. "Merry? What are you doing?...and what room was this once?" Questioned the horse.
"Well. I don't know. I guess i was just thinking about leaving and all..."
"OOoooh...what about it"
"Oh it's nothing Miow..."
"Are you sure? You can tell me these things you know Merry"
"hmmm...yes," There was a short pause and then Merry continued,"well i guess sitting here isn't getting anything moved now is it?" He said and hopped about back to work seeming a bit chipper.
Miow had helped Merry pack up his stuff for the remainder of the day and proceeded to call for her Fellow Mercurasian Horses to come and life the load. They came...rather slowly as well. This got on Miow's nerves. She had been waiting all day and nagging Merry the entire time they rested, following him about and bothering him and this was supost to be a fast opperation. BUT NOOO. Someone somewhere has to be slow and delay her plans.
Miow continued to complain to herself about her stupid horse companions as they took their dear time getting there. Merry had gone to say good bye to his few closest friends and all that was familiar to him. You'd think the hobbit was never comming back again the way he carried on. He said good bye to the Flowers and the streams and waters and the hills and the soft grass. Frodo was there he talked abit with him about his leaving. Frodo told him not to worry to much. He was living on Venus with Taniso, one of Miow's closest friends, and wasn't that far away. While on the other hand Pip was now living on Saturn. He decided to go with Vuna, another one of Miow's close friends, because in the end she did save him from his torment (that he wishes not to speak of).
The six horses Miow called finally came. Apparently they got lost. Miow forgave them in secret after all she wasn't all that good at giving them directions to the Shire in the first place. There was very little conversation and once again Miow lost track of Merry. She went looking for him.
Eventually she found him. He was sitting at the water where they had first met eachother. He was sitting there and was staring out quite blankly at the little bit of land that he loved even more than his home. He let the memories run wild in his head. Miow was reluctant to bother him. she sat down next to him and after alittle while she began to talk to Merry. "I remember when i first popped my head up and you ran for the bushes..." she giggled
"yes, those were the days."
"i remember when we had found Gandalf and went looking all over the Shire for Pip...I don't really know why you insisted on having Gandalf there..." she continued.
"Don't worry, i don't really remember either. I think he knew that too...hmmm.."
"Alright Merry, what's wrong?"
"Nothing really...maybe...I'm just going to miss this place"
"Oh Merry Don't fret. You'll come back and visit and take holiday here every now and then."
"I will?" He seemed bewildered
"What do you mean 'I will?'...OF course you will. no one ever stays ON the planet forever and ever, we do leave often ya know."
"really?"
"yes Merry. Ya know what? I just thought of something. I know it's been a few months but weren't we making other plans besides this one?"
"well now that you mention it i think you were to be at Mercury trying to free venus of some untimely war that Yani keeps talking about...it that the other thing?"
"AHHH!! I KNEW I FORGOT SOMEHTING!! OH dear i hope i'm not too late. so you kno when i was supost to leave?"
"hmmm," He thought for a long time, "hmmm...yes about a week ago."
"AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!?"
" I thought you knew? or maybe changed your plans or something."
"AHH!"
It was true Miow had had a conversation with the veela, Taniso, and a nother horse named Suisu over heard the words and mixed them up on purpose and told The Mother, Yani. Yani had then come up with a plot to call war with venus. It was all about the lot of horses pony-napped by Giftsu the non gift and left on Venus to die. She was going to do something right away, but it was so close to the flight of saving Pip and Merry told her to wait a little bit and get her rest before she set off. Miow is a very strong horse in more than one way. She took it as an offfence but Merry insisted that she not go until a bit of time passed.
