Location: Suda Bay is on the northern coast of Crete, and Suda Bay War Cemetery is at the north-western corner of the Bay, 5 kilometres east of Hania (or Khania) and 3 kilometres north of the Hania (or Khania) - Rethymnon - Heraklion road. The cemetery is in an olive grove and is well signposted from the main road.
Francis married Ina Margaret in 1930.
