Astronomy
Today's lesson is about stars. When one looks upon the night sky, about 2,000 stars are visible. This is no way an accurate representation of the vast number os stars in the universe. In fact, no one really knows exactly how many stars there are. Scientists have made educated guesses, but even those could be wrong by millions and millions. The most familiar star is our sun. Although the sun looks small in the daytime sky and is cinsidered only average in size when compared to other stars, it is still huge in comparison to the Earth. The sun is approximately 100 times the size of Earth. It looks so small because the distance from the sun to the Earth is roughly 93 million miles.

Your homework is : What is the most familiar star? About how many stars do you think there are? What type of size is the sun considered?
