To Feel

To feel is an amazing feat
To know the touch of happiness
The sting of pain

To feel the warmth of sunshine
And know the cold of snow
Or the dampness of rain

But to feel once again
A dream
Beyond the reach of reality

Too long, so numb
To turn the apathetic me
Into a person of compassion

However, my heart still beats
For whatever reason
It is unknown

I have long gone
Unhappy and unloved
The pain I feel is most real

But to FEEL again
An amazing feat
One I most definitely
Must obtain
