| Dream Sickness evades my body Pulsing through my very soul The light is blinding Causing my eyes to remain shut The air I breath is warm The board on which I lay is cold My heart rapidly beats I pull in air as quickly as I can Pounding, pounding, pounding My head seems to split in two I force open my eyes Only to be blinded once again Something, someone touches my chest The forcer is stronger; sharper I feel my heart explode I open my eyes once again and all is dark Warmth and comfort surround me I move, bracing for pain My clock reads 2:34 am Blankets are flung all around my bed My body is soaked with sweat My mind reels A dream It was all a dream My fears torment me while I sleep I close my eyes My body shakes with each breath Sleep comes, and I see it My body; lifeless My heart; dead I try to open my eyes But the light is blinding |
