| Another Begining I take a step forward and glance behind me At the comfort and security I leave behind My knees shake as I move forward Each step gets harder as my knees begin to lock The hair on my arms stands at attention My gaze locked upon the person ahead I take a deep breath and steady myself My mind races with "what if" Uncertainty hangs around my neck I look again to the life behind me My heart goes back to that place My feet keep walking Never changing direction The pull on my body is unbearable Looking to the distance my eyes focus on the siloutte I wonder if it could be the one The figure quickly vanishes into the fog of my conscious My head lowers to my chest Somehow my steps were taken too quickly With much effort I turn around Slowly, I go back to the word I longed to escape No matter Another begining will soon be on its way |
