Ok, so Silent Hill wont win any awards. Ever. But I dont write these stories with the Weenies in mind. I dont really write them to impress any of you guys, either. I write these stories for me. To an extent.

Why am I telling you this? Well, "Afraid" is a tad more personal than any of the other dreck I've written. While it *does* belong on the site, the horror-ness of it all pops up in the second half. The first half, which will bore you to tears, is devoted to character/story developement. The second half is more haunted-house-oriented. I should warn you that there are some religious views in the script that might differ from yours, although I tried not to be too offensive.

But speaking of offensive - if you dont like... well... people attracted to the same sex, I also suggest you dont read this either.

Afraid is a hybrid of The Others, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (of course), The Sixth Sense, Dawson's Creek, and an extremely subtle version of Queer As Folk. Yeah, I know that doesn't exactly sound like a winning combination, but read on and judge for yourself.

Again, there's gonna be a whole Wicca theme throughout the script, like Silent Hill. This is gonna be a recurring thing for all my stories -- so get used to it! :)

P.S.: Oh, I should also mention, that one of the characters in the story suffers from trama because his or her parent and sibling died during the terrorist attacks on NYC. If you're hyper sensitive to the issue, then skip over the scene marked with ******s. Part One also takes place on October 11th, one month after. Just a tiny warning.
