LEAVES are BLOWING all over the road, as we PAN UP to see the Myers House, dark, empty, and broken down.
ANNOUNCER: In this house began a legacy of terror�
FLASH TO:
MICHAEL MYERS stabs JUDITH MYERS over and over again.
ANNOUNCER: �and in this quiet, little town began a legacy of fear.
FLASH TO:
A HIGH SHOT of the city of Haddonfield in 1978.
ANNOUNCER: But times change�
DISSOLVE TO:
A HIGH SHOT of the city of Haddonfield in 2001.
There is a big difference, as houses are abandoned, boarded up, run-down, etc. LEAVES blow over a dark street lit only by the street light.
CUT TO:
MICHAEL MYERS, butcher knife in hand, standing out in the Haddonfield streets on Halloween night, 2001. Jack-o-lanterns GLOW from porches nearby as the wind SWAYS the trees and BLOW the yellow-green leaves around on the road. A huge fire BURNS in the distance. Sirens are heard SCREAMING in the distance. MICHAEL has returned home.
ANNOUNCER: �and people have been haunted�
CUT TO:
INT. HADDONFIELD ETERNAL PEACE CEMETERY
Muscular 31 year-old CHRISTIAN VANDERCLORK, with long, flowing blonde hair and bright blue eyes, stares down at his sister LYNDA�S tombstone. He is dressed in a long, black leather jacket and blue jeans. He puts a bouquet of roses on her grave.
CHRISTIAN: I miss you, sis.
ANNOUNCER: �and the city of Haddonfield isn�t very quiet anymore�
FLASH
ALAN decks LUKE with a right.
THUGS mug an old lady.
CHRISTIAN hits a THUG with a baseball bat.
A THUG throws a rock through a store window. The alarm goes off.
Reporter LINDSEY WALLACE yells at SHERIFF MAX AUSTIN.
LINDSEY: This town has gone to hell, Sheriff! I can�t write a story on this!
MAX: (sarcastically) You know what? I�ll run right out and fix the town for you.
ANNOUNCER: This time, when Michael comes home, he�s going to get a little more than he bargained for.
FLASH TO LINDSEY being cornered by MICHAEL in the Wallace house. He raises his knife.
FLASH-CUT TO MICHAEL stabbing a teenage girl.
FLASH-CUT TO MICHAEL tossing a teenage girl through a second story window.
FLASH-CUT TO MICHAEL driving a car towards some leather-clad bikers.
FLASH-CUT TO MICHAEL hanging a teenage guy from a tree, noose around the boy�s neck.
SLAM-CUT TO CHRISTIAN and MICHAEL in a staredown, standing outside the Myers house. Moonlight is their only source of vision.
CHRISTIAN: I knew you�d come back someday. Let me be the first to welcome you to the hell you created.
CHRISTIAN swings the bat at MICHAEL�S head.
FLASH TO MICHAEL pinning a teenage guy to the wall, driving a butcher knife deep into him. MICHAEL backs up. The boy is stuck to the wall, seemingly hovering in the air. MICHAEL admires his work, tilting his head.
FLASH TO A JACK-O-LANTERN, smiling an evil smile, a candle burning brightly.
SAM LOOMIS: (V/O) We�re talking about evil on two legs.
The knife SLASHES through the screen.
