Since script is usually a piece of code in text format, scripts are easy to create, install and support. Most of scripting languages are object-oriented. These factors are important advantages that make script objects very convinient and portable units of software.
Inherent drawback of all scripting technologies and the scripting concept itself is low performance. To execute a script, scripting engines have to interpret its code, which creates an excessive load on CPU.
The best strategy to fight scripting drawbacks is based on combination of pure script libraries (to preserve flexibility) with objects that are pre-compiled to improve performance. In frequently used functions where scripts have been proved inefficient, compiled objects would speed up execution and ultimately accelerate the development cycle.
