| I'm a freelance editor and a Voting Member in the Editors' Association of Canada. In order to qualify for Voting status, members must have performed 500 hours of editing in the past year. I have eight years of in-house proofreading experience with one of the top 100 commercial printers in Canada and over eleven years' experience as an "author's editor"--mentoring, evaluating, copyediting and line editing manuscripts for writers. My writing career spans twenty years; I've had poetry, short stories and articles published in professional and small press markets, on the Internet and in newspapers and newsletters, in both American and Canadian markets. I've written two novels so far. My specialties are speculative / science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction, but I've worked on all genres, forms and lengths, from autobiography to western, from cover letters to press releases.
