She said Youll make them sorry for doubting your pain
And then she reminded me of this worlds pitiless disdain,
Thats when I picked up the pen,
But Then,

Like that little beaded alloy strip you pull in the night,
My mind received a burst of divine light,
I mean Im a writer, right?
Why not write the things that I will miss,

Things like romantic walks in the park under a starry
night sky, No more Butter Pecan Haagen Daaz runs at midnight, And no more of her giddy giggle as my goatee grazes her inner thigh,

Then I listed one by one,
My loved ones and my closest friends,
Folks who had come to depend on me and on whom
I had come to depend,

That was the last time I heard from the So Called Deadly Ms. Susan Aside,
Then I honored Life,
By embracing My Fears,
Then I honored the Divine,
With the promise of Years,
Then I honored Self with Tears.
