My Child My child eats inside me Like a rat at a loaf. She demands of me And commands me. Curling and winding my Brain with infintile fingers, Playing guitar with my Guts. She never stops being child Nor I her mother. We cannot escape or avoid Each other. Connected by blood, blinded by flesh Brought together with Umbilical barbed wire. She shadows me I am filled with her. I smart with her hurt And burn with her pride She is my illness, my cure I am her problem. Together we are poison. |
