IN 1996, A brand new teen horror movie was
brought to us by director Wes Craven and screenwriter
Kevin Williamson. This movie, originally titled
SCARY MOVIE, was SCREAM. This movie brought back the
teen horror genre and kicked off the start for many
new teen horror movies, including I KNOW WHAT YOU DID
LAST SUMMER, DISTURBING BEHAVIOR, AND URBAN LEGENDS.
PLOT
In 1996 Sidney prescott,(Neve Campbell)a
senior at Woodsboro high school, is living her life
like a normal student. When another student has been
found murdered along with her boyfriend, Sidney starts
thinking about her mother who had been murdered one year
before that. Sidney soon finds herself the next victim
in a vicious attack by someone wearing a ghost mask,
but luckily she is able to escape. After this, the bodies start piling up,
and Sidney along with Deputy Dewey (David Arquette),
the reporter Gale Weathers,(Courtney Cox-Arquette)
and a geeky friend named Randy(Jamie Kennedy)must
solve the mystery before it is too late.
