I think it is now safe to say that there will definietly be no Scream 4. For those of you who love the series and want to keep it going, please send in posters, scripts and anything else relating to your ideal scream 4. In the 3-mails please put Scream 4 in the heading. thanks. Oh and I don't knwo wh i never posted it here, but the scripts sectio is up, with one outline someone had sent me.
NEWS - June 23, 2001
*Sadly to say, it looks like there will be no Scream 4. I personally have been wishing for another, but due to the fact that the horror/slasher genre is on the downfall, it will most likely never be made. Don't let that get you down though i'm still open fo people to send me fan art, and also scripts, which i haven't gotten any yet, but if anyone sends them i'll be more than happy to post them.

*Due to the fact that there has been no official word from dimension themselves about scream 4, as of now, I am going to take it as a non-existant movie. This section will still be open, so please feel free to send in any fan scripts, or posters and i'll be sure I post them. When anything new surfaces about this movie, I'll be sure to post news.

* Sorry once again for the lack of updates but there hasn't been much to update. Today I have added a new setion to the Scream 4 page called "posters." i have looked over the internet and found what i thought were the best fan made posters for scream 4, so go check it out.
NEWS - September 1, 2000
* a juicy rumor came in today. i have no idea how true it is, so take it lightly.
The start of the movie will not feature the famous first 2 killings.the only orinigal scream character to return will be courtney cox.the plot is baised around a news paper clipping that gale weathers finds while recearching her new book the artical is about a serias of murders that happened in the late 70s and the early 80s in which a killer used the same methods (masks,knife,phonecall)to stalk his victims.Gale decids to recearch this story and travels to the town where it first happened.There she meets a lady who tells about the first murders.Neve cambell will not return for this movie.the scraters of scream knew this so they wrote the script without her character.The only character to return are gale and dewie (we do not actually see him but he is involved in a phone conversation with gale).it is unknown if courtney cox will do this movie.but it is known that kevin willimson did not write it.

* Sorry, for the lack of updates, but a nice piece of information
has recently come in. According to a local gossip program in Venezuela, they say, "Although Scream 4 may not be happening for sure, the Arquette's wouldn't mind coming back for another sequel as long as they receive a large amount of money. As for Neve, she definitely does not want to come back for another installment, so the studio is considering paying her a good amount of money to do a death scene."

* Despite many rumors and stories going around that Scream 4 will not be made, it turns out that Kevin Smith has been offered a job of directing Scream 4 but hes not sure if he can do to the fact that hes very busy.

* Wes Craven's website has recently contacted me concerning scream 4. Heres what they had to say:
"Here's the story.
As we told scream-trilogy.com i have 2 films currently in pre-production, Dracula 2000 and The Fountain Society(The film version of my book).
I'll be busy with these films for the next 2-3 years. it's not just making films that takes so much time. There's editing, promoting and all sorts of time-consuming tasks. So... EVEN IF I WANTED TO... I wouldn't be able to do Scream 4.
I also feel that we have done what we set out to do with the Scream films. Scream revitalized a genre and are fun and exciting to watch. Now its time to move on. I'm sixty years old and plan not to retire in the not-so-distant future. I want to create new films, not just run the same formula again and again.
Fortunately, I've become successful enough that I don't HAVE to
make any film that I don't have a passion for. thats why I made Music of the Heart. the Scream films are fun, but they've got to end sometime, and before they get stale or campy.

* Some more news recently came in about the director. Because Wes Craven has declined, Dimension is considering Director Kevin Smith for the job.
* Also, Dimension has decided that if they can not get Neve, David and Courtney back, then they will try getting back Patrick Dempsey to tie the fourth movie into the first three.

* A writer has already been attached to the project and Scream 4 is expected to be released in 2002.
NEWS - JUNE 1, 2000
* Scream 4 has been confirmed by Dimension Films. It will have a new director and writer, and most likely a new cast.
* While talking to a magazine called "EON" David Arquette was asked about a Scream 4 and said, "Probably without us. Different cast, different director."
