Ray Brooks Southern Comfort 5'11" 185 pounds October 3, 1977 Beaumont, Texas October 3, 1997 Rocker Dropper

"Southern Comfort" Ray Brooks hails from Beaumont, Texas... His lack of a Southern accent has brought many up questions about that claim, but that is beside the point. Ray currently resides in Port Coquitlam, BC and wrestles for Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) which is part of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).

Ray's wrestling career began on October 3rd, 1997. During the early part of his career Ray enjoyed tremendous success and an unbelivable winning streak which he attributes to "my traditional style of wrestling." Unfortunately since that time he has endured a horrendous losing streak which he attributes to "an unbridled attempt from the promoters and fans who do not respect nor apprieciate my immense talent and knowledge when it comes to traditional wrestling to keep me from reaching my fullest potential despite my charisma and marketability which would make me a star anywhere."

In late 1998, Ray made a brilliant (?) career move, and left the BBC, which consisted of Mike Roselli, Randy Tyler, and Roger Ferrari. He joined the ill-fated Jackass X-Press, with X-Cube (JXP) and House Of Pain (Justin Payne). Yes, he continued to lose matches, and became a flag-waving American in the process. The group soon disbanded, and all three went their own seperate ways. This had little impact on Ray's career. He continued to lose matches.

Ray suffered a serious leg injury at the hands of Moondog Chopps in April 1999, and this kept him out of action until the following December. Two months later, on February 25 2001, Ray "won" the ECCW jobber title in a match with Disco Fury. He succesfully lost ten months worth of matches, intentionally in almost all cases, which made for a few humorous moments. Such as the time he crotched himself on the top rope in a match with Abaddon, or when he knocked out Layne Fontaine and pulled Layne on top of him. Ray continued to "defend" his title against the likes of Havoc, Mike Lee, Weed, and how can we forget Inbred Jed and Peter Putter. He accidentally lost the title to Prince Alladiin in December, and then started to win the odd match.

On May 3rd, 2001, Ray recieved his first ever heavyweight title match against Dr. Luther, in Mackenzie, BC. He went an exciting 35 minutes with the Doc, before losing to the running powerbomb. (Ouch)

Two months later, he got insanely stupid and revived the jobber title in the "Ray Brooks Invitation Jobber Title Tournament." The tournament will live in infamy in ECCW, as the biggest joke of the year. MEH. He then embarked upon a lengthy feud with Backyard Billy, which stretched out over the entire summer. Ray dropped the title on November 9 in Nanaimo to Sweet Daddy Devastation. He then wrapped up his feud with Backyard Billy with two wins. Who woulda thunk it!

And that brings us to present. When Ray isn't at the matches, look for him getting kicked out of a 7-11 near you, or sticking his *expletive deleted* into a bucket of Silver City popcorn. (Thanks Rockford, you earmuff). And in closing, please respect and appreciate the fact that Ray Brooks is one sexy bitch!
