Joey
Since it is hard to see the journeling on these pages I re-wrote it and it is under each page.

The bottom left reads:
Joey was born December 10, 1998. Ken and I got "him" from a foster home for the Oregon Humane Society on February 7, 1999. "He" was only 8 weeks old and very hyper.
The Humane Society had named "him" Georgie. We didn't care for that name too much, so we decided to rename "him", but had no idea what. So the idea came to me- when we have our first son we want to name him Kenneth Joseph III, so we couldn't name "him" Kenny, so I took Joseph from Ken's middle name.
We were told that Joey was a male. Ken kept telling me that he though it was a female, but I said "no, they said it was a male, they would know better then us." Boy, were we in for a surprise when we went to have "him" neutered and we got "her" back spayed. That is why she has a male name. We didn't want to confuse her; after all we had been calling her Joey for 2 months.
The top right reads:
Joey's Favorite Things:
Food: Friskies- any flavor, but has to be shredded
Sleeping spot: The foot of mom and dad's bed
Toy: Laser light pointer
Things to do: eat, sleep, and play

One night Ken and I were watching tv and Joey wanted to watch too. She started on my lap, but soon found a more comfortable position! We got up to go to bed, but she didn't want to move.
The right side reads:
September 1999
10 months old
In the corner right above our computer was a shelf that was taller then me (5'4"). It was Joey's favorite spot to sleep and watch over the house.
She would jump on the desk, onto the monitor and onto the shelf.
What a silly girl!

Joey loves to watch the water drain out of the bath tub. It intrigues her.
Her favorite part is when it makes the sucking sound at the very end.
After the water is gone she has to jump inside to inspect it.

I had a box lying in my office and guess who found it? Yep, Joey.
It really didn't surprise me. From my experience with cats I know they love boxes.
She spent a lot of time in that box until I finally put it in the closet where it belonged.
