| Scrapped Princess stats: Running time: approx. 25 minutes per episode Seasons: one Episodes: 24 Genre: Fantasy, drama, humor Summary: Scrapped Princess is the story of Pacifica, a former princess who was 'scrapped' at birth because of a prophesy that said she would destroy the world on her 16th birthday. The prophesy came through the Mauser church, the main religion of Pacifica's land. People of the Mauser faith (along with those afraid of the Scrapped Princess prophesy or hungry for the money) are after Pacifica, though she's never done anything wrong. Pacifica's adopted siblings, Shannon and Raquel, protect her from these people with their skills as Guardians. That's the short of it, but there are many, many layers to Sutepri (one of the show's nicknames). It's hard to give an accurate synopsis without letting loose a few spoilers, as there's a big plot twist in the middle. I can tell you that the story is tighty knit and well-written--not a single episode is wasted. The characters' personalities are well-developed, and it's hard not to feel their pain and joy as you watch the show. Though I'd definitely recommend Scrapped for lovers of Fantasy anime, I would also recommend it to anyone who likes anime at all, or even just a good story. It's got fantasy, action, drama, humor, and even a little bit of romance. Definitely a must-see.
