| Who she is: Pacifica Casull is the title character of Scrapped Princess. She is the daughter of a king and queen, but was discarded at birth (hence the name "Scrapped Princess") because of a prophesy in the Mauser church that said she would destroy the world on her 16th birthday. Her personality: Pacifica is a feisty, somewhat spoiled girl. Despite this, she is also friendly and can be very kind. She doesn't really understand her supposed destiny (to destroy the world) and doesn't want anyone to be hurt because of her. Relationships: Pacifica is the adopted sister of Shannon and Raquel, who act as her guardians. Forcis is her biological twin brother. My comments: I like Pacifica. Her personality borders on the feisty-girl stereotype, but she manages to stay distinct from the rest. I like that she doesn't have anything planned out: If it comes down to it and she's about to destroy the world, she wants to be killed. If not, she wants her life to go on as is. She's a little bit selfish and spoiled, but those are some of the things that keep her human. And though she grew up in a happy family, she's been through quite a lot--knowing that her biological parents (her father, at least) tried to kill her, her adopted parents died for her, and there are still many associated with the Mauser church (or looking for a reward) who want her dead. |
