| Shannon and Zefiris | ||||||||
| One of my odder pairing choices, but one I feel has a lot (all of it nebulous, of course) behind it. Why it works: In order for the whole D Knight/Dragoon thing to work, the D Knight must trust the Dragoon. Shannon had issues with this at first, but he learned to trust Zefiris by the end (and they made one good fighting team!). On the Zefiris side, I don�t think it�s any mistake that Shannon looks exactly like her former D Knight, who she cared for. At first, Zefiris was only helping Pacifica because of his final request, but eventually she grew fond of the Scrapped Princess and friends as well. Why it doesn't work: Zefiris is a Dragoon, a weapon. The idea has been raised that she may or may not even be capable of feelings. (Then again, as I said before, she had great feelings for her previous master, so this argument is null to me.) Outside of that, Shannon and Zefiris�s feelings for each other (whether or not they belong in a relationship) are very nebulous. Neither are much for open affections, and it�s hard to pinpoint how they feel about each other. Why I like it: �You can become a nice wife.� I don�t remember what episode this quote came from, but it was something that Zefiris said to Shannon ^_^ (she�s got some spunk to say that, ne?). Hmm . . . that may or may not have been the start of my shipping of the pair, but Zefiris�s former D Knight being a Shannon look-alike definitely sparked my interest. Both Shannon and Zefiris seem a little bit jaded, but somehow they appeal to me as a couple. A Happy Ending? Well . . . we only catch a glimpse of Zefiris at the end, but she seems to be living with the Casulls and is looking very adjusted to the way humans live (domestic, even, you might say ^_^;;). Her relationship with Shannon and the Casulls is left a blank for the audience to fill in however they want. (Of course, you know how I�ll fill it in ^_^) |
