| Ah, one of my weird, pet pairings that is not only secondary to Shannon x Zefiris, but also doesn�t work anyway. Why it works: Shannon liked Sim, right? And inside Cz may or may not be a bit of Sim. So Shannon can like Cz, right? And Cz doesn�t seem especially hostile to Shannon, right? Umm, I know, why am I asking you? Why it doesn't work: First of all, the whole Peacemaker-I�m-going-to-kill-your-beloved-sister-and-whatever-humans-get-in-my-way thing that Cz has. Second of all, while Shannon liked Sim, is Sim really still there, somewhere inside Cz? And even if she is, I don�t think Shannon liked the young Sim in the way that I might imagine he would like the grown up Cz. Oh, yeah, and she dies. Erm, Shannon kills her. Why I like it: Here�s my rationality: Good boy and bad girl falling in love is cute. Shannon can be deemed 'good,' Cz can be deemed 'bad.' And they certainly have some interesting conversations. Cz isn�t the same as the wicked Steyr, so it�s not that hard to argue that she does have the greater good in mind, and that, with a little bit of nudging, she could get over the whole �destroy Pacifica� thing. Of course, maybe the real reason I like the relationship is because I know that it�s not going to happen but it would be cute if it did. A Happy Ending? No, unless you think two people trying to kill each other is sweet. Cz stays bad and dies. This didn�t sadden me the way Fulle's dying did (because Pacifica x Fulle was at the pinnacle of cute relationships), but I was a bit disappointed that this pairing no longer had even a chance. Then again, Sutepri isn�t a happy shoujo where everyone who might have a little good becomes good and lives happily ever after. Though I�d still like it if it were o.o |
