My favorite snorkeling spots are Hanauma Bay and Shark's Cove. 

Hanauma Bay can be crowded, yet the fish don't seem to mind.  Shark's Cove is a little more challenging.  You need to climb over rocks, and they can be slippery.  Shark's Cove is a summer only place, as the famous North Shore surf makes it too rough in winter.
