Me and My Cliffy
Cliffy and I met in 1998. Believe it or not, we met over the internet! We met in person at an Olive Garden Restaurant in Madison, Wisconsin. Despite our age difference, we forged ahead. We lived in Sauk City, Wisconsin for awhile in a haunted house. This is no joke. We decided to move to Clearwater,Florida. He was born in Florida, so it was like home to him. I was raised in Wisconsin my whole life so the warm climate was a great change. The kids loved the Gulf of Mexico and the soft, white sand. While in Florida we were married. People dream of being married on the beach and we did it! Then one day a phone call came from an old friend asking Cliff to come work for him. The job was in Wisconsin! We reluctantly packed up and once again moved north after exactly one year in Florida. Then the company asked Cliff to transfer to a new site in Michigan so we went. But after six months it was up to us. We relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee. We loved it there nestled at the foot of the Smoky Mountains. But alas, we decided it was too far from our family in the north. So we moved north again to Springfield, Illinois. A year later we moved again, this time to stay, to Rockford, Illinois. We found out in May, 2003 that we are expecting our first baby together! The papoose is due in January, 2004! Our first new millenium baby!

This is our baby, Dixie. We adopted her in Feb.1999, from the Dane County Humane Society in Madison, Wisconsin. She is practically human. At least SHE thinks she is. She loves to go "bye bye", snoops through grocery bags for goodies, tries to catch squirrels, sleeps curled up under a blankie every night, loves to watch t.v. and leaves her toys all over the house. We love her so much!

This is our Ally Cat. In Jan.2001 we adopted Ally from the Hillsdale County Humane Society in Osseo, Michigan. She loves to play with toys but not the kind you buy for cats. Paper bags, plastic rings off the top of milk jugs and ladybugs are her favorites. She likes to play with Dixie and it's common to find them snoozing together.

Clearwater Beach, Florida - Located on Florida's Gulf Coast this is a fabulous place to live or visit. The average temperature is 73 degrees and the sun shines 361 days a year with summer afternoon rain showers to cool you down. Dolphins can regularly be seen jumping in and out of the warm water of the Gulf of Mexico. The sand is sugar white and clean and shelling is fun at low tide. There is plenty of food, attractions and scenery to amuse you for a lifetime! Link: St.Petersburg/Clearwater Information

Kennedy Space Center - NASA was established in 1958 and 3 years later launched the first American into space. Kennedy Space Center houses some of the most interesting artifacts from the space program. The actual Saturn V rocket can be seen. It is 363 feet in length and weighs 6.2 million pounds! The immense size can't be imagined, it must be seen. Go on a tour and see a launch pad and perhaps a Shuttle launch. See up close the massive "Crawler" which transports the Shuttle to the launch pad at a top speed of 2 mph! See the rocket garden and a view of the inside of Mission Control. Don't forget to check out the great IMAX films! Link: Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex

Devil's Lake State Park - Situated in Baraboo, Wisconsin along the Ice Age Trail, this park has much to offer. We have camped, hiked and taken many pictures. We took the photo at left high atop the cliffs which go up as much as 500 feet. You can also bike, fish, dive and cross-country ski. Be it winter or summer the view of the 379.4 acres of lake is quite a site! Link: Devil's Lake State Park

The music you are hearing is called "Valentine" by Jim Brickman and Martina McBride. I sang this song to Cliff at our wedding. I practiced for several weeks before. When Cliff heard me rehearse he got tears in his eyes. I told him he wasn't allowed to do that while I sing at our wedding or I would cry too! But all went well!
