Cedar point is an amusement park which is located in Sandusky, OH. This park is owned and operated by Cedar Fair, L.P., which also operates: Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, PA; Valleyfair in Shakopee, MN; Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun in Kansas City, MO; Knott's Berry Farm in CA; Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon, MI; and Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN.
Personally, I think Cedar Point is the best amusement park that was ever built. Cedar Point is the home to 16 roller coasters...and yes that is a world record!!! Cedar Point is also the home to 68 other rides and attractions, live entertainment and a water park (Soak City). All of these attractions have gained Cedar Point numerous awards over the years. Some recent ones include: Millennium Force being rated the #1 Roller Coaster in the world; and Cedar Point being rated the Best Amusement Park. Also on the premises of Cedar Point there are two minature golf courses, a go-cart raceway, and a RipCord Skycoaster. Cedar Point also owns and operates four resort hotels, which have heated pools (both indoor and outdoor), hot tubs (both indoor and outdoor), and access to the beach (Lake Erie).
This year Cedar Point is building the Tallest and Fastest Rollercoaster in the world. At the start of this year's operating season, Top Thrill Dragster will be taking off! This new roller coaster will reach a max speed of 120 mph in approx. 4 seconds!!!! It will also take riders up a 90 degree incline, and drop them at a 90 degree angle with a 270 degree twist!!
