Caney-Where does one end and one begin?
This is probably a subsequent building of the South Fork Church, the first one was a log building.

The first church in Morgan County was established in 1808 and was a Baptist Church. The church was called the South Fork Church. It stands today on the same ground but has been rebuilt 2 or 3 times. The leader in establishing this church was Daniel Williams, who built the first house in West Liberty, then later moved to Caney where he spent the rest of his life.
He had been a pioneer in other parts of Ky.,  a friend of the Boone brothers, as a church associate of Squire Boone, who performed the first marriage ceremony in KY.
Daniel Williams was leader in establishing churches in many part of Ky. He became a member of the South Fork Church in 1810. He was ordained to preach in 1811.
