On Saturday 13th July the 14th Darlington Scout Troop went to Newcastle on the train for a day trip to the Life Centre.
"LIFE Interactive World is the North Easts newest visitor attraction. LIFE Interactive World uses hands on interpretative techniques, state-of-the-art technology and an impressive combination of audio-visual wizardry and live interactive characters to convey the wonder and mystery of life."
We met at Banktop Station at 9:15am and got the train about 9:35am. There were 11 scouts in all and 3 leaders. Within half an hour we were at Newcastle. When we arrived we walked to The Life Centre, got into groups and spent all day looking around where we wanted to go. It was a great day and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I think most people's favourite part was the Life Arcade. It contained many futuristic games including virtual volleyball, virtual football and a rotating rock climbing wall. Monkey Boy was especially good at the rock climbing!!! At 3:30pm we left the centre and arrived back in Darlington for 4:35pm.
