Glennie of Clan MacIntosh
This is a personal page for my scottish ancestory.  It includes some of my family heritage as well as my personal interests and "hobbies", relating to Scotland.
My clan tartan is MacIntosh and I wear the hunting tartan that is displayed as a background for this page.  I am descended from a sept of Clan MacIntosh.  Clan MacIntosh was the chief clan of the federation of clans called Clan Chattan, the cat, therefore the slogan is "Touch not the cat bot (without) a glove".
Loch Moy is our battle cry.  Loch Moy is the lake that is beside the Clan Chieftain's estate, Moy Hall, south east of Inverness.  I visited Moy Hall and Loch Moy, and met with our clan chieftain just before he died of cancer in 1995.  As far as I know, there isn't a chieftain at the moment, 'cause his son didn't want the title.

I am including some photos of the estate and the loch, plus a photo of our badge that is at the gateway to the estate.
This is my great grandfather's grave stone at Culsalmond in Scotland.  The text reads,  " Erected in memory of Alexander Glennie.  Cairnhill, Culsalmond, who died 7th Sept. 1878.  Aged  78 years.  Also his wife, Margaret H. Law, who died at Old Meldrum, Jan 1st, 1894 in her 93rd year.  Also their daughter, Jane, who died at 2 Baker St. Old Meldrum, 28th   Nov. 1906, aged 78 years."
Many clans were connected to The Black Watch.  It is a tartan that is universal, and anyone can wear it.
This photo was taken at a rally in St. Catharines Ontario.  I piped the procession down the street to the rally centre.
For those people who wonder what is worn under a true  Scottsman's kilt, I offer this photo of me taken a few years ago at Lilly Valley, Ft. Erie, ON Canada.  As you can see, nothing is worn and it is all in fine working order.
