24th Ottawa (Elmdale) Scout Troop

Here is the place to be to find information about our Scout Troop -- who we are, what we do, and how to get in touch with us. (We have Beavers and Cubs too.)

So, who are we?
An active group of two dozen 11-14 year olds, lead by some terrific adult volunteers, helped by some great parents, chartered by Scouts Canada, and sponsored by Elmdale Public School Council. We meet Wednesday evenings from 7:00 until 8:45 in the gym at Elmdale School, on Iona Street.

What do we do?
What a question! We do -- camping, hiking, cycling, swimming, first aid, paper airplanes, skating, fireball, crafts, soccer, astronomy, badge work, trips, singing, orienteering, climbing, learning, visits, did I mention camping?, Scout Trucks, winter activities, acting, tree planting, campfires, recycling, fund raising, ... Whew! And more!

Not in our area but want to join?
Youth and leaders welcome! Has this given you a taste for the good life? Call 1-888-ScoutsNow! (1-888-726-8876), or if you are in the Ottawa area 613-225-2770. Tell 'em we sent you! And we are happy to add more youth, leaders, and Group Committee members. Send us an e-mail.
