One of Pillman's last great matches, this one against the second generation rookie who never quite made it. Flyin' Brian's "Blondes Have More Fun" theme is the coolest Van Halen ripoff I ever heard. Wright was carriable and Pillman was a great worker, so we get a good face versus face battle. Oddly the first boos go to Alex who headbutts Brian in the gut. Pillman, whose from the area, has the crowd firmly behind him. Pillman's stuff is perfect, but Wright is shaky botching a Rito Romero Special horribly. Seeing that "Das Wunderkind" is the ideal baby, Pillman goes heel first with a big chop that gets the fan behind him more than against him and when he picks up even more the "Brian" chants chime in. A well-organized match with a little sloppiness from Alex, but it's covered up for and the finish is clean and typical of the juniors. Great nearfalls at the end and excellent heat to boot.
