long ridge tops exist at Chadwick Motorcycle Use Area! The area contains a 12-sqare mile
chunk of rough
Ozark Country. It is located about 4 miles southwest of Chadwick, MO. Developed camp
facilities are close at
hand for riders or other visitors.
Special areas: All authorized trails are marked with orange diamond-shaped tags, and are
also identified with
trail number marker posts at beginning points and intersections. There are two locations
where they allow
off-trail travel. One of these is the Family Play Area, about 2 acres in size, and just to
the west of Cobb Ridge
Campground. The other is the 5-acre Trial Bike Area, located between trails 110 and 135,
near the end of Camp
Ridge.
Camping: Two developed campgrounds exist at Chadwick. They are Camp Ridge and Cobb Ridge
Campgrounds. There are single, double, and triple camp units available. Must take away
trash...and bring enough
water, as these accomidations are not available.
