I used to listen to "Gary Owen's Supertracks", basically a weekly 3 hour syndicated show from Hollywood every week (distributed on vinyl LP's from the Creative Radio Shows/Network and now long out of production!!). Anyways, I was 17 at the time when they played my request, and after months, I wrote wondering where the hell my promised "Memory Flogger Cap" went to. I eventually got it, as well as the show LP's with the request on it (as well as the rest of the shows the station had when I went to work there!!) and of course, this neat autographed note from Gary himself. Always liked the guy on air, so goofy!!! sorta like me and moondog on Cheeze Pleeze, but that's another matter in itself.
