SWAN BOAT AT THE BOSTON PUBLIC GARDEN
30" x 20" acrylic

This was taken from a photograph of the Boston Public Garden.  I had found the photograph in a book in the library, then returned the book.  I didn't know where the location was until I was watching "The Parent Trap" years later with my wife and kids and we saw that bridge in the background.  A little research revealed the location.  Apparently, the swan boats have been famous for over a century.  The water and the boat are the most vivid, colorful part of the painting intentionally.  If I could do it over, I'd have the boy looking at the boat instead of reading.  Also, I would have toned down the black colors in the bridge.
