| LA JALISCIENSE 22" x 28" acrylic on canvas Probably my wife's favorite. She said she wanted to do this kind of dancing when she was younger. I sketched the dancer from a photograph I found in a book and made a few of my own modifications. The background on the ground below the dancer is better than the background above the dancer. The background above is too vivid. Also, my wife says the highlights are too white and should have a touch of yellow. The face was the hardest part. I still don't think it's perfect, but as close as I was able to get at the time. The colors and movement I think are what make this painting a favorite for a lot of my friends and family. |
