HANDCARTS IN FALL STORM
48" X 24" Oil on Canvas

In the fall of 1856, the Martin Handcart Company of Mormon pioneers was caught in an early winter storm in the state of Wyoming.  Many of the members of the company died of cold, starvation, and fatigue during that time.  My great, great grandfather, Francis Webster was a member of the group.  I thought I would like to do a painting depicting that event.
