The Warlock Class vessel was designed
for two purposes, battle and defense. A large cruiser, at nearly 2 kilometers
long, it sports an impressive array of firepower and carrier capacity.
Rugged and blocky in appearance, it's design is decidedly different
from the graceful and organic look of the White Star. This ship has
a an agressive and forward appearance, sacrificing aethetics for combat
efficiency and intimidation factor. Her weapons, as seen, are in the
form of turrets, and turrets, and more turrets, ranging from the heavy plasma
weaponary to the light anti-fighter defense. The Warlock class destroyer
is also armed with Tri-cobalt missle silos and quantum torpedo tubes, making
it an impressive long range support vessel. Her hull is also covered
in the bio organic armor, and her shields have only now been converted from
the usually seen Federation/Borg montage, to this new form of gravitic shields,
designed to diffuse and reflect energy delivered, not absorb it directly.
The Warlock went into mass production soon after the arrival of Sokar,
the Hammer Fleet's XO, to the UPA. He had with him several destroyer
class vessels, and from them, the design for the Warlock was born. This
destroyer is the main cruiser for the United Psionic Alliance, and serves
the purposes well. The Warlock is constantly undergoing refits and
upgrades, as new technology is born within the UPA, and attempts to keep
up with the "power" curve, so to speak, in the ever going tech race with
the other governments out there. There are few in service, as many
ship capains prefer the sleeker faster White Star, but make no mistake, the
ones in service are a force to be reckoned with, despite thier appearance.
