The Goldenhour will promote their second album with a series of gigs starting with the official launch night @ Barfly on Thursday 9'th June. Other gigs which are lined up so far include

	YEH YEH were formed in 1983 after Dean Kelly (Drums) and Andy Houghton (Bass) split from their then band XFX, after realising that doing the Blackpool Pub Rock / Cabaret circuit was not what they wanted. Advertising for a 'Maximum R'n'B Guitarist' (a ploy nicked from the Who when they advertised for a drummer and got Keith ), they finally recruited Steve Shelmerdine (Shem) and The Catch was born. Late in '84 Dean left the band due to work ciommitments and was replaced by Simon Knowles on drums. A name change also ensued and YEH YEH became official. Pulling on Shem's inumural contacts in the 60's scene (he ran The Wrong Box, Blackpools only 60's/Mod club) the band were soon doing plenty of gigs and starting to attract the wider Mod audience. A couple of attempts at studio work resulted in little of any worth and it was left to a home studio EP Tape recording (Read All About It) to get the band further listening. The band concentrated on gigging all round the UK (Scarborogh, Belfast, Edinburgh, Rotherham and even Ludlow....not to mention the many Blackpool scooter runs/Mod Weekenders) in heelping to promote Read All ABout It. The band experimented with additions to the line-up (sax player etc) but only one additional member seemed able to fit in with the bands image, and that was Keith Suede (Ringo), who played harmonica and started taking over certain vocal elements. In early 86 the band once agin went into the studio (Berlin) and emerged with their one and only vinyl single You WIll Pay (b/s 7 Bells), which sold better than they could have expected. In '86 Simon left to go to university and was replaced by Darren Adamson, a young lad from Wigan who had been following the band for a couple of years. The, in '87 the band succumbed to that old chestnut in the biz,'musical differences' and Andy decided to call it a day. The remaining members continued as The Acumen and Andy carried on writing and recording on his portastusio at home. After various band connotations over the past 14 years or so, Dean, Andy and Simon got back together to start re-recording some of the old material in more professional surroundings (namely their own studio). An initial CD of 4 track recordings (....but where's The Catch) was released towards the end of 2002, and is still selling today. 18 months of hard graft have resulted in 'Then & Us', a collection of earlier and later YEH YEH tracks that they hope stand the test of time. Another album is already being recorded as this is written and material for a 4th is being pulled together.
