| Question - Scott, you've already been mentioned in the same breath as Adam Foote around here. How does that comparison work for you? Hannan: "It's a great comparison. I like to be named in the same breath as Adam Foote. I watched him playing here and winning. I got the chance to meet him at the World Cup. I kind of see myself as being that type of player. That's the way I want to be. I bring that toughness and not just being known for just that. He was able to add offensively and create, those type of things. But that's the style, the way I see myself playing. I hope to bring that to the Avalanche." Question - Francois, everyone wants to know what's next. You have cap money to play with. You're not prohibited to saying anything about other players. (joking) So if you want to tell us if Peter Forsberg is coming back, let us know. Giguere: "We've added another player in (Jaroslav) Hlinka earlier in the year. We've already added three players. We're always looking to improve the team. The one thing I wanted to be careful with is, I believe in this team. I believe in the chemistry of this team. And you have to be careful I think in how much you change that chemistry. You don't want to make changes for the sake of changes. Our players finished the last fourth of the year with only two losses. I think we have great character on our team. We have a lot of skill. We definately felt that we needed to improve in some areas and both Scott and Ryan bring a lot of what we were looking for. But most importantly they are bringing character that I felt would go well with our players and would compliment our players well. I'm looking forward to these two guys playing a big role in the leadership of our team and helping us in specialty teams and just helping us win. They're both looking for a Stanley Cup and we're looking for another one. That's what this is all about." |
