11/24/03 Elected to a two year term on the Montecito Heights, California Neighborhood Council, part of the newly formed coaliton of neighborhood councils encompassing Monterey Hills, Mt. Washington, Montecito Heights, Cypress Park, and Sycamore Grove. This is an exciting time for this coalition of neighborhoods and many changes are afoot. I look forward to being a part of the thought and action process that goes into these changes. Re-elected 2005 to another 2-year term.

I work for the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, but am not an astronomer. I am lucky to have a job with lots of versatility that comes under the heading of Support Staff.

With my partner, Helen Driscoll, I run an internet based business selling beautiful, do-it-yourself wedding invitation kits that people can print on their own desk top printers. Check out Invitesite.com.

09/15/03: Completed layout and digital printing of a small book titled "Pucketychoo." This is my father's personal account of the history of water in the San Gabriel Valley. You can see it online or get in touch with Chris Rubel <[email protected]> to get a copy.

Have participated in projects with Stephen Berkman at the Getty producing wet glass plate collodion prints. I appear holding the back of the chair in the picture on the web link displayed at the right.

Also an active member of the Museum of Jurassic Technology, link to right.
Printing on a Reliance press at Clinker Press in Pasadena, California.
Go to these if you would.
