SCOTT COUNTY GENEALOGICAL and HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Mission Statement
The object of this society shall be to help people learn how to research their genealogy, by furnishing programs, workshops, and seminars; to study and make available Family Histories for the use of others; to raise funds for genealogical purposes; to gather local and family history information to be placed in libraries; and to promote interest in the preservation of public records (local, school, church, county, and state).; Scott County Genealogical meets the second Sat. of each month  at Forest Public Library in Forest, Mississippi. The meetings start at 2:00 the doors open at 1:00. We enter through the back door.
