Easily one of my favorite instruments both to play and to listed to. I'm told I'm a little unorthodox as a mandolin player as I tend to play rythm and pick very little. I think of mandolin as a potent spice that should be used sparingly. I like to do a bit of fill as well in the background. Influences are country, celtic, bit of bluegrass, and I'm starting to get into the jazz area a bit. I think it sounds great in reggae for the off-beat chops. |

I've got me a fretless mexican-made Fender Jazz. Nice and warm. I love the upper range of fretless bass. Most of my bass-playing experience has been covering pop, country, folk, maritime music. I did a little stint in a punk/reggae/rock band for a while too. That was fun. My style tends to be a simple laid back groove. I can play a bit of slap. |

Harmonica, tin whistle, bamboo whistle, ozark's harp (jaw harp), kazoo. Fun, melancholy, fast or slow, I like to play it all. |
