Chapter 1
Spiritual Disobedience
Jagged flashes of lightning tore up the tar black sky over the peaceful West Michigan countryside. The violent supernatural storm approached fast from the east. The noise of the rolling thunder hid the beating of thousands of scaly wings in the mountainous black cloud. It was no trick of the eye that in those split seconds of illumination, the guardian angel of Resurrection Church saw the invisible wings of darkness thrashing in the storm overhead.
The legion of bloodthirsty red-eyed demon warriors followed Satan their king and high priest. The ground shuddered in their shadow of death. With a subtle motion of his clawed right hand, his army surrounded the church and they drew their weapons for battle. His impressive evil form absorbed all light like a black star in deep space gathers all energy and power into it. Two more angels surfaced from inside the building to the roof as the god of the air descended towards them.
"Satan fears the joining of Scotty and Verily," the church guardian warned his brothers. "His spies must have reported about the many signs of God that have come through them. Their wedding and their becoming one will make their power over him and his kind inescapable. We must create a hedge of safety around them."
The first angel bared his fiery silver sword and commanded the second, "You must tell this to Michael. Hurry, before it's too late."
The second angel nodded silently and disappeared in a flash to the north. Three-dozen other guardian angels instantly materialized from inside the church with their weapons of light drawn. They formed a tight circle with their backs to each other hovering one hundred feet over the sanctuary.
Satan's army stopped above them in a threatening military stance and he said, "You cannot block me. I will destroy this wedding and kill the Holy One's. "
"You are trespassing. You must leave," the angel of the church spoke up boldly while his sword pointed at the throat of his enemy. "They will never allow you and your minions near them."
Satan laughed and he raised both his powerful hands for all of his generals to see as he said, "Wrong! I was invited! One way or another, sooner or later; they will die."
The evil one brought his massive hands together in a clap of thunder that deafened the angels momentarily and signaled his legion of demons to attack. Satan then dove like a ball of lightning through their midst and stole into the sanctuary. The evil battle cries sounded above the clashing swords of light and darkness. The living and dead spirits could not kill each other, but the destruction in their wake would be considerable.

Their friendly neighbor is about to lose their farm, because of back taxes that are due. The Fisher's powerful prayers restore and renew all that Satan's attacks had tried to steal.
