Action then moved up to the .596 mile high banked oval with the 50-lap SuperTruck race. In qualifying, Steve Pendergrass turned a time of 20.225 seconds (106.086 mph) to grab the fast time. Pendergrass rolled an eight for the inversion, which put Mike Barrett on the pole.
Barrett and third-place starter Josh Adams ran one-two as they completed the first lap, but on lap 4 Bill Christie moved inside Adams to take the second spot. Scott Borchetta and Adams battled side by side for third with Allen Carter behind in fifth.
On lap 7 Christie made a move for the lead to the inside of Barrett. They ran side by side but as they came out of turn four, Barrett got loose, causing the trucks behind him to bunch up. When the dust settled, the trucks of Barrett, Bobby Ray Baucom, Carter, Christie, and Pendergrass were involved in the crash. All but Baucom were able to continue.
When they went back to green, Borchetta was the leader followed by Tandy Marlin, Don Young, Scott Fetcho, and Skip McCord. Young made a move on Marlin on lap 9, but couldn't make the pass stick.
By lap 15, the top three of Borchetta, Marlin, and Young were running one truck length apart, but had built up a 5 truck length lead over Fetcho. As the laps wound down, Borchetta and Marlin started gradually pulling away from Young. On lap 40, the caution came out for the last time when Young lost a tire and hit the turn two wall.
When the race went back to green, Borchetta and Marlin again started pulling away from the third place truck of Fetcho. Borchetta went on to get his fifth career win, followed by Marlin, Fetcho, McCord, and Ricky Bolden.
Carter still leads in the points standings, 92 points in front of Borchetta. Pendergrass is just two points behind Borchetta in third, with Bolden four points behind Pendergrass in fourth. Adams is fifth in the championship race.
